Mattie Kinard, a life-long resident of San Antonio, is a retired school librarian, having served 32 years in the San Antonio Independent School District. Since 1996, she has been a volunteer with Child Advocates of San Antonio (CASA), visiting children in need and representing their interests. Mattie is an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church of San Antonio and has served as church librarian. Her son Monty is a minister and lives in Little Elm, Texas. On why she founded |
