  • Closest water source before this project: The people depended on an old and open well
    as their source of water.
Descripton of the village & people: This is a suburb of an old township that is home to farmers and traders. Their houses are built of mud bricks and roofed with zinc, and the town is located on the mail trunk road to Koforidua.

Description of the project: the old well was rehabilitated and restored for use. There was a deepening of the old well, and concrete works were carried out at the base and the walls. An erosion protection wall was constructed around the well and the path of the storm way was diverted. It was then covered with concrete and a new Nira hand pump was installed.
Abudulai Mohammed, head of the Zongo community: "The water situation in this area is very bad, especially in the dry season when we have to form long queues in our search for water. Thank you for solving this problem for us."
Descripton of the well dedication: Attendees were given a presentation of the gospel and reminded of who Christ is and His coming soon, and advised to surrender their lives to the Lord. Those who made the decision to live for the Lord were prayed for and advised to fellowship with any Bible believing church of their choice. About 35 people attended the ceremony, and five people made decisions to live for the Lord.
